Festival of Lessons & Carols

Four years ago, I sang the first part of the soprano solo "He shall feed his flock" from Handel's Messiah. This was after having my stomach scoped. My choir director was a little freaked out later when I told him I had to go get my biopsy results which freaked me out. I had never even considered the results not being OK. Anyhow, the Messiah is written very high-the top of my "falsetto" range (I usually sing tenor). When my choir director asked me to do it again this year, I pointed out that I hadn't done much singing in the past two years, and your voice doesn't get higher with age. The first couple of practices were pretty rough. Last time, I was the setup "guy" for the soprano who sang the second half, but I nailed it this past Sunday.
