Happy Anniversary
Today would have been our fortieth anniversary. We got married at City Hall for our mortgage. John got an employee discount through work, but we had to be married to qualify for the full discount. Back then, Canada Savings Bonds were paying 21%. Even with the discount, we paid 15.75%. We were planning to have the big church wedding but put the money towards the mortgage which was completely open.
