The search is over?
I have come to the conclusion that I don't fit in at the company, but I belong there. Or rather, they need me. They need a "rules are rules" person. Actually, I haven't done an Internet job search in weeks (since I came to this realization?).
The department has lots of rules and processes-they just don't bother to follow them. I am going to insist on a change ticket for all work requests from now on. This is not a politically correct position. The last manager who insisted that the rules be followed was let go, but I think it was his approach that got him in trouble.
